INCAP recognizes the need to generate evidence on the degree of implementation of nutritional policies, programs and interventions and the enabling environment within the framework of the window of opportunity of the first 1000 days of life. For this purpose, it developed and validated a metric that includes multiple indicators to assess the institutional and management capacity of governments and organizations that work in health, food and nutrition in Central America and the Dominican Republic, in order to ensure adequate nutrition in the first 1000 days. Eight regional reports are made available to you, one for each country in the region, documenting the degree of implementation of nutritional policies and programs within the framework of the first 1000 days of life in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
