LAFICC is a reference laboratory specialized in the detection, evaluation and control of risk factors for chronic diseases related to nutrition throughout the life cycle. The LAFICC has the capacity to measure body composition, physical activity, daily energy intake and expenditure, cardiovascular physiology, exercise physiology, psychological tests and clinical chemistry, by simple methods applicable in the field or at the patient's side and by methods of highest precision reference.
The laboratory is available for clinical and epidemiological research projects; human resource training; certification of other laboratories and analysis of samples and field methods for epidemiological surveys.
