Professional experience and areas of expertise

Major areas of research interest include prevention of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, human nutrition and epidemiology. 

I have been principal investigator and co-investigator in various community and primary health care based projects related to cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic renal disease, and diabetes prevention.  These projects have been funded by international organisations, such as the US NIH, IDRC and WDF.
